Bilateral thalamic infarction is rare. The most common findings are acut impairment of consciousness, vertical gaze paresis, cognitive disturbances. This case is presented to remind that thalamus has an important due in memory mechanism with afferent and efferent connections that connected with hippocampal formation and amygdale and to remind that thalamic zone lesions causes specific symptoms.
