Candida endocarditis (candidoma) is a very rare entity. In an infant with esophagus atresia and tracheoesophagial fistula, mitral valve vegetations mimicing the typical pattern of a left atrial myxoma on echocardiograms. A pedinculated mass was shown occupying the mitral orifice from the anterior mitral leaflet and interatrial septum, having simultaneous movement with this leaflet. Though these echocardiographic findings were consistent with the diagnosis of a left atrial myxoma, other distinctive differential diagnostic features may especially be in an infant with long term intensive care management with many antibiotics are also important. Unfortunately patient died before surgery, post mortem histological examination of the myxoma like structure revealed thrombus with massive fungal microorganism. due to Candida albicans vegetations "candidoma". Other diagnostic possibilities must, therefore, be considered in the interpretation of echocardiograms that suggest left atrial tumor particularly in patients taking antibiotics at intensive care units.
